Emiliano Detta

Emiliano Detta serves as the Director of the Mexico Office for KfW since February 2016, focusing on sustainable mobility, energy transition, and environmental protection. Previously, in the same office, Emiliano held the position of Deputy Director, responsible for securing sustainable financing projects across various sectors in Mexico. As Senior Sector Coordinator for Sustainable Energy, Emiliano successfully originated over 800 million USD in operations to promote Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency through collaborations with development banks. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor at ITAM, Trust Fund Appointee at the Inter-American Development Bank, and Renewable Energy Project Manager at Development Services Group UK, among others. Emiliano holds an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and a B. Eng. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Ongoing professional education in Energy Finance is also pursued through HeatSpring.
