Barb Kunz

Barb Kunz is an experienced communications professional with a background in media production and management. Currently serving as the Group Communications Manager at Khan Academy since June 2016, Barb contributes to the nonprofit's mission of providing free, world-class education. Previously, Barb worked at NBC Bay Area from October 2004 to June 2016 in various roles, including Principal Communications Manager and Senior Communications Manager, where responsibilities included managing production for weekly TV shows. Additional experience includes producing documentary segments for Project Rebirth, creating technology segments for TechTV, reporting for KQED, and various editorial positions in media outlets such as Women.com and Healthscape. Barb holds a BA in Political Science from Yale University and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University.
