Creative Technologist/tech Lead at Kindred

Alex Zhang has a diverse work experience in various roles within the technical and creative fields. Alex started their career at SAY Media as a Creative Designer in 2013, then moved on to M&C Saatchi as a Digital Designer/Developer. Alex later worked at DDB as a Digital Designer/Front-end Developer and at Clemenger BBDO as a Creative Technologist. From 2017 to 2018, Alex served as a Creative Technologist and Senior Front End Developer/Digital Designer at TBWA\\Worldwide, where they developed websites, landing pages, banners, micro sites, and apps. Alex also maintained existing websites and managed projects both internally and externally. In 2018, Alex joined Hogarth Worldwide as a Senior Front End Developer before transitioning to Kindred as a Creative Technologist/Tech Lead in 2019. In 2021, they worked as a Freelance Senior Front End Developer and Technical Lead at Moustache Republic, where they developed and managed ecommerce stores and handled projects for clients like Honda. Currently, Alex holds the position of Technical Lead at Scentre Group (Owner and Operator of Westfield in Aus and NZ) and will also be joining Vodafone in the role of Technical Lead starting in November 2022.

Alex Zhang holds a master's degree in Design and Visual Communications from the University of Sydney, which was obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they also obtained a master's degree in Information Technology from the University of Sydney, completed from 2008 to 2009. Alex Zhang's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Information Technology from Shandong University, completed from 2002 to 2006. They also possess various certifications such as Triplebyte Certified Front-end Engineer, DoubleClick Studio QA Certification, DoubleClick Studio Youtube Masthead, Dynamic Creative, VPAID, and Lightbox Certification, DoubleClick Studio Certified Html5 Developer, and Sizmek Creative Certification.
