Kelly Hanson is a seasoned production manager, host, and executive producer with extensive experience in the television industry. Currently serving as the Production Manager and Host of Local Lens Seattle at King 5 Television since March 2013, Kelly leads the creative process for client campaigns, overseeing various production aspects while ensuring high-quality standards. As a Franchise Producer and Host of King5's flagship YouTube series, Local Lens Seattle, Kelly focuses on generating new content and engaging audiences on social platforms. Previous roles include News Producer at KUSI Television and News Reporter at KPAX Television, where responsibilities ranged from writing to on-air reporting. Additionally, Kelly served as Corporate Marketing Manager for Seattle Sun Tan. Kelly holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Montana, earned in 2009.

KING 5 is a broadcast media company that covers a wide programming range for local audiences.It all began when then Channel 5 aired a historic high school football game, becoming the first television station in the Pacific Northwest. Eight months later, Dorothy Bullitt, a local business woman, bought the station and began its tradition oflocal programming. In 2014, the George Foster Peabody Award was awarded to KING 5 for its investigation of “Hanford’s Dirty Secrets.” In addition to local news, programs such as New Day Northwest hosted by Margaret Larson and Evening Magazine help KING 5 share local information about people, places, and events that make the Northwest special.
