King's Ely
Elisabeth Tyrrell has a varied work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Elisabeth began their career as a Personal Assistant to the Pro Vice Chancellors at the University of Cambridge from April 2006 to August 2007. Elisabeth then worked as an Operations Team Member at MVision Private Equity Advisers from October 2007 to July 2009 before becoming a Study Supervisor at Court Moor School from September 2009 to August 2010.
Elisabeth then transitioned into the field of education, working as the Subject Leader of Classics at Upton Court Grammar School from September 2010 to August 2014. Elisabeth subsequently served as the Head of Classics at St Nicholas' School, Fleet from September 2014 to July 2015, and as the Head of Humanities at Wren School from September 2015 to August 2016.
From September 2016 to August 2020, Elisabeth worked at The Marist Schools, first as a Teacher of Classics and then as the Head of Classics. Elisabeth then joined King's Ely as a Teacher of Classics in September 2020 and later became the Acting Head of Y12 from April 2021 to February 2022. Currently, Elisabeth is the Head of Classics at King's Ely, a position they have held since September 2022.
Elisabeth Tyrrell's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from the University of Canterbury, which they completed from 1999 to 2000. Elisabeth later pursued further studies in the same field at the University of Otago, where they earned another Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 2001 to 2004. In 2009, Elisabeth enrolled in The Open University and studied a paper in Ancient Greek Language called A275. In 2010, they attended the Slough Partnership (EBITT) and completed a GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) in Education.
