Ansgar Tietmeyer is Partner at Berlin Global Advisors, a leading German geostrategic and government affairs advisory firm based in Berlin. He also serves as Senior Advisors to Athora, an insurance and reinsurance group focused on the European Market.
Ansgar has more than 20 years of professional experience in public and government affairs, strategic positioning and communications with a special focus on the financial sector and German and EU politics.
He worked for Deutsche Bank for over 20 years, including positions in Frankfurt, Paris, Brussels and Berlin. Prior to joining Berlin Global Advisors, Ansgar was Head of Public Affairs at Deutsche Bank responsible for covering the bank relationship with political and public stakeholders, including German government and Parliament as well as the EU Institutions.
In an honorary function, Ansgar Tietmeyer is President of the Wirtschaftspolitischer Club Deutschland (WPCD) e.V., the oldest economic policy association in Germany.
Ansgar studied economics at the universities of Münster, Paris and Bonn and received his PhD in monetary policy from the Ruhr Universität Bochum.
