Jim Hand's work experience starts in 2008 as VP of Oil Sands Development at ConocoPhillips. Jim later became VP of the Surmont 2 Project and then VP of Oil Sands Operations, where they were responsible for the Surmont 1 30 KBOEPD SAGD facility. Jim joined Laricina Energy Ltd. in 2013 as SVP and COO, overseeing production operations, major projects, subsurface, and stakeholder relations. In 2015, they moved to Repsol as VP of the Canada Business Unit, managing their Canadian E&P business. Currently, they are the President and CEO of Kingston Midstream, a mid-stream energy company with feeder oil pipelines and storage assets in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Jim Hand attended Texas A&M University from 1979 to 1983, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering.
