Mick Sharp brings extensive experience in engineering management and consultancy, currently serving as Chief Engineering Manager at Kinnerton Confectionery Co Ltd since January 2020. Previously, Mick held the position of Engineering Manager at Hotel Chocolat from 2017 to early 2020 and served as Associate Consultant at MCP Management Consultants Ltd for over a decade. With a strong background in various sectors, including Food & Drink, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing, Mick has led numerous projects focused on interim management, asset management, and operational excellence, notably at companies such as Warburtons and Dubai Airports. Among notable achievements are the implementation of Lean Six Sigma processes, development of world-class bakery maintenance strategies, and successful training initiatives as an accredited City & Guilds, IOSH, SPA, and CIEH trainer. Mick's early career includes a significant tenure as a Reliability Engineer at Nestle S.A., consolidating a robust foundation in reliability and engineering principles.

Kinnerton Confectionery Ltd was formed in 1978. In 1988, Kinnerton decided to commit itself to a manufacturing base and in 1989 acquired Gilchris Confectionery Ltd. In 2005, Zetar PLC (ZTR) purchased Kinnerton Confectionery Ltd, a company set up on the AIM stock market. On 30th November 2012 Zertus Gmbh acquired all companies in the Zetar Group.
