Mahagony Phillips

Mahagony Phillips is an experienced educator currently serving as a Lead Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since July 2017. Previously, Mahagony held positions as a Research Intern at UNCF from August 2016 to April 2017, where responsibilities included project development and completion. Additionally, Mahagony interned at The Scholarship Academy from May 2015 to May 2016, focusing on scholarship database updates and facilitating workshops. Earlier work experience includes a role as a Ride Attendant/Operator at Six Flags Over Georgia in 2014. Mahagony holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Spelman College (2013-2017).
