Li Wang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the semiconductor and biotech industries. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering at KLA since January 2016, Li manages key ebeam business units and previously led one of the largest programs within the company, overseeing the development of advanced semiconductor equipment. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Nanometrics, where Li was responsible for OCD product development, and Sr. Manager of Engineering at KLA-Tencor, where Li led system architecture design for actinic EUV mask inspection systems. Additional experience includes positions at Ciphergen Biosystems, AFOP, and Schlumberger Technologies, where Li contributed to innovative technologies in optics and mass spectrometry. Li holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering focusing on physics and optics from the University of Maryland, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Optics and Physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Jilin University, respectively.
