Omid Zandi is a Senior Research Scientist at KLA since November 2020, specializing in the development of Ultrafast Transmission Electron Microscopes (UTEM) for studying light-induced ultrafast dynamics of materials at the nanometer scale. Prior to this role, Zandi was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2018 to October 2020, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from July 2012 to December 2017, where Zandi focused on ultrafast electron diffraction setups. Zandi also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tarbiat Modares University from September 2005 to March 2011, engaging in research on multilayer dielectric structures and electromagnetic fields in bi-anisotropic materials. Zandi holds a Ph.D. in Atomic, Molecular, Optical, and Plasma Physics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from K.
