Maurem Alves

Maurem Alves holds extensive experience in sustainability and forest management, currently serving as a Director in the Board of Directors at the Forestry Women Network and a member of the Advisory Committee at The Forests Dialogue since January 2024. As a representative of the Economic Chamber at the Forest Stewardship Council International, Maurem also works as a Sustainability Consultant at Klabin, focusing on institutional representation and sustainability initiatives. Previous roles include Sustainability Manager at CMPC Brasil and various positions at CMPC from 2009 to 2021, including Environmental Coordinator. Maurem has actively participated in numerous forums related to forestry and environmental management, holding leadership positions such as President of the Board of Directors at the Brazilian Council for Forest Management and authoring works that blend narrative with environmental themes. Maurem Alves holds an Executive MBA in Sustainability Studies and degrees in Forest Engineering and Agricultural Engineering.
