Wilson Leão Neto

Wilson Leão Neto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Wilson started their career as an intern at V2COM and I.ndigo in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Wilson then worked as an intern consultant at TerraForum Consultores and as an intern at the Poli USP Decision-Making Laboratory in partnership with Buscapé in 2010. Following that, they worked as a trainee at Touch Tecnologia in 2011.

In 2011 and 2012, Wilson worked as a researcher at the Poli USP Decision-Making Laboratory in partnership with Buscapé, where they focused on practical research in fields such as recommender systems, social network analysis, computational advertising, and behavioral targeting. During this time, they extensively studied and utilized artificial intelligence, machine learning, and graph theory.

In 2012 and 2013, Wilson worked as a full-stack web developer as a freelancer/entrepreneur. Wilson then joined Petrobras in 2013 and held various positions, including junior software engineer, software engineer, and tech lead. During their time at Petrobras, they developed and maintained geophysical, HPC, and machine learning algorithms, integrating them with legacy systems. Wilson played a key role in the development of Petrobras exploration's first web application that utilized microservices architecture and machine learning.

In 2022, Wilson joined Klarna as a senior engineer and later transitioned to the role of lead engineer. In their current role, they work on AI smart tools, data ingestion, and streaming.

Wilson Leão Neto completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2005 to 2010. Wilson also had the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student at Politecnico di Milano in 2008 to 2009, where they continued their studies in Computer Engineering.
