Paul Heimann has a diverse work experience starting from 2009. Paul began their career as the Team Lead Mobile at antwerpes ag, where they led the mobile development team, focused on iOS and Android application development. Paul also provided consultancy to project managers and customers regarding mobile applications. In 2012, they joined Kleinanzeigen as the Head of Mobile Engineering, responsible for a cross-functional mobile development team. Paul later took on the role of Chief Product & Technology Officer (CTO & CPO) until 2018. In 2019, they became the CEO of Kleinanzeigen. In 2021, they joined Beelinguapp as an Advisory Board Member, and in 2023, they started working at Adevinta as the Head of Recommerce.
Paul Heimann pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. In 2006, they attended bib international college where they specialized in Softwareentwicklung and obtained a degree known as Staatlich geprüfter Informatiker. Paul continued their studies at Solent University from 2008 to 2009, earning a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Around 35 million users per month make Kleinanzeigen one of the most widely used websites in Germany. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a leading global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.
