Jerry Vinokurov is a software engineer who has worked at various times in academia, government, and industry. Prior to joining KoBold, he worked at the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Biology, where he built a data pipeline for the acquisition and processing of genomic data to predict gene functionality in biological contexts.
He got his undergraduate degrees in physics and math from UC Berkeley, and his Ph.D. in astronomy at Brown, where he worked on building instrumentation for balloon telescopes.
