Valerie Cavazos

Valerie Cavazos is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Anchor and Chief Investigative Reporter at KOLD News 13 since July 2021. Prior to this role, Valerie worked at KGUN9 from October 2011 to May 2022 as the anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 pm news while also conducting investigative reporting. Valerie founded Livin Latin and Aim4College, leading these initiatives from October 2005 to December 2010. Previous experience includes serving as an anchor at KOLD from January 2000 to October 2005 and as a news anchor and reporter across several stations, including WTIC, NECN, WRGB, and WSJV from May 1985 to November 1999. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Arizona.
