Michaël Naert began their work experience in 2001 at Exmar, where they held roles as a Naval Architect & Marine Engineer, Project Manager, and Technical Director. Michaël then joined AtlasInvest in 2017 for a short period, working on a business consultancy project for New Southern Energy. In the same year, they started working at Vopak, where they held positions as Director Operations and Technology - LNG division, and currently serves as the SVP Technology & Engineering.
Michaël Naert obtained a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering - Marine Technology from Ghent University between 1996 and 2001. In 2001, they also participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at Newcastle University, where they studied Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Later, in 2010-2011, they attended Antwerp Management School for a program in Next Generation Leadership. In 2016-2017, Michaël Naert completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Vlerick Business School.
