Gunn Nygard

Gunn Nygard is a seasoned professional in regional planning and sustainability, currently serving as a Seniorrådgiver in the Department for Transport, Planning, and Environment at KS kommunesektorens organisasjon since March 2025. Previously, Gunn held special adviser roles in regional planning at Akershus fylkeskommune and Viken fylkeskommune, where responsibilities included developing regional planning strategies and promoting circular, low-carbon transitions. Earlier experience encompasses advisory positions focused on sustainability and planning at Buskerud fylkeskommune and Akershus fylkeskommune, along with a substantive background in research and project assistance, including a master's thesis at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute. Educational qualifications include a master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Oslo and further specialization in community planning and governance from Høyskolen i Innlandet.
