Øystein Thorvaldsen

Øystein Thorvaldsen is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Kongsberg Satellite Services since June 2018. Prior to this role, Øystein held the position of Enterprise Architect at HELSE NORD IKT from April 2017 to May 2018 and worked as a Security Architect at Politiets data- og materielltjeneste from October 2010 to April 2017, contributing to the organization's information security team. Øystein also possesses expertise in penetration testing and the development and accreditation of classified systems, gained while serving as a Senior Engineer at the Norwegian National Security Authority from 2006 to October 2010. Additionally, Øystein held the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Studenttinget NTNU in 2002. Øystein holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), completed in 2006.
