Marcus Smith has extensive experience in news production, currently serving as an Executive Producer for KTLA since February 2010, overseeing Southern California's top morning news program. Additionally, Marcus has held the role of Senior News Producer, managing the 10pm and 11pm newscasts. Since October 2016, Marcus has also been the Dayside Executive Producer for KTLA 5's midday and afternoon news broadcasts. Prior to these roles, Marcus worked at Disney ABC Television Group as a News Producer and at WSVN Channel 7 in the same capacity. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications from Florida Gulf Coast University, obtained in 2007.
