Liese Barbier is a Postdoctoral Researcher at KU Leuven since October 2021, focusing on the Regulatory Sciences Research Unit within the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences. Additionally, Liese has served as a Lecturer at the same department since September 2017, teaching subjects related to biosimilars, clinical trial reporting, and mixed-methods research methods. Liese also contributes as a Researcher for the MABEL Fund, exploring the market environment of reference biologicals and biosimilars. A Visiting Research Fellow at Stanford University's METRICS in late 2022 and a former PhD researcher in Regulatory Evaluation and Market Access of Biosimilars at KU Leuven, Liese has experience as a Seconded National Expert at the European Medicines Agency and has had various roles in hospital pharmacy. Liese holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from KU Leuven, complemented by an interdisciplinary program in Translational Medicine from Université libre de Bruxelles, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from KU Leuven.
