Mun Yee Wergin-Cheek has extensive work experience in finance and risk management. Mun Yee currently holds the position of Lead of Business Partners Finance EMEA at KWS Group, where they are responsible for providing guidance and expertise in financial areas to the business and R&D units in over 70 countries. In their previous role as Head of Treasury and Insurance, Expert Hub Lead at KWS Group, Mun Yee secured additional long-term financing and implemented standard processes and treasury policies. Prior to their time at KWS Group, Mun Yee worked at Shell as the EMEA Treasury Manager, where they managed treasury activities for operating companies in the region. Mun Yee also served as the Governance, Risk & Assurance Manager at Shell Trading, ensuring compliance with controls and governance frameworks. Mun Yee started their career at PwC as a Risk Assurance Manager, leading audit and project teams for major clients and managing client relationships.

Mun Yee Wergin-Cheek's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) obtained in 2003. Mun Yee also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management from LSE in 2004. Prior to attending LSE, Mun Yee Wergin-Cheek completed their A-Levels in Economics, Maths, and Art at Repton School, Derbyshire from 1998 to 2000. Before that, they completed their IGCSEs at The British International School of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, Mun Yee Wergin-Cheek also holds a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs obtained in 2007.
