Olivier Cottet has a strong background in the agricultural industry, with extensive experience in research and development. Olivier began their career at Eridania in 1993 as an Oilseeds Breeder, where they focused on breeding oilseed crops. In 2000, they joined Syngenta as a Sunflower Breeder and eventually became the Head of the Global sunflower breeding program.
Throughout their time at Syngenta, Olivier took on various leadership roles, including Head of Seeds RD Diverse Field Crops, Head Biological Assessment EAME, and Head Global Biological Operation Vegetables Seeds R&D. In these positions, they managed and coordinated global seeds development operations, led research and development teams, and drove innovation in breeding programs.
Most recently, Olivier joined the KWS Group in 2022 as the Global Head of Product Development for Corn, Sunflower, Oilseed Rape, and Sorghum. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing product development strategies and ensuring alignment across different crops. Olivier's expertise and experience make him a valuable asset in the agricultural industry.
Olivier Cottet received an Engineer's Degree in Genetic, Breeding, and Physiology from L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers in the period from 1987 to 1990. Later, from 1998 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Groupe IFG in the field of Business and Management.
