Tadhg Downey began their work experience in 2013 as a Waiter at An Súgán Seafood Bar & Restaurant, where they worked until 2016. In 2016, Tadhg became the Captain of UCC Olympic Weightlifting Club and held this role until 2017. They then worked as an Intern at Aspira from March 2017 to September 2017. Starting in August 2018, Tadhg worked as a kdb+ Developer at First Derivatives until May 2023. Currently, Tadhg holds the position of Senior kdb+ Developer at KX, starting in May 2023.
Tadhg Downey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University College Cork, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including "Negotiating Your Leadership Success" from LinkedIn in November 2021, "AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer" from Udacity in February 2021, "Machine Learning Engineer" from Udacity in March 2020, and "Machine Learning - Introduction for Enterprise" from Udacity in December 2019.
