Globally, 50% of GHG emissions and over 90% of biodiversity loss and water stress are related to the extraction of natural resources.

The demand for these resources has exceeded our planet's capacity to regenerate them, yet resource extraction and consumption are still climbing, even in the most affluent nations. 

As a response to these realities, KYKLOS was founded to support citizens, businesses and governments in achieving a drastic reduction of their material footprint, in a controlled, just and sustainable way.

We believe that the way resources and materials are used and distributed in today´s economies must change radically if we are to avoid environmental and social catastrophe. We thus work to understand what changes are necessary, and how these could be implemented in the different sectors of the economy.
