LACERA
Michael Herrera is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public pension law. Currently serving as Senior Staff Counsel at LACERA since June 1999, Michael also contributes as an Executive Board Member of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys (NAPPA) and as an Advisory Board Member for Institutional Investment Forums. Michael's prior legal experience includes clerkships at the U.S. National Labor Relations Board and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Michael holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and Management (cum laude) from the University of Southern California.
