Alok Makharia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the textiles and business sectors. Serving as the Managing Partner and Owner at Shykam since 2012, Alok specializes in the merchant export and import of Indian and global cotton, man-made fiber, and technical textiles. In addition, Alok holds advisory and honorary positions with organizations such as BSEIndia, the Cotton Association of India, and the Bombay Cotton Merchants and Muccadams Association Limited. Notably, Alok is also the founder of a tech startup called India Ratings and has been a franchise owner for Lacoste and Benetton Group. Alok’s educational background includes advanced degrees in International Business and Commerce from Cardiff University and Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, complementing early education at St. Mary's School in Mumbai.
