Nobu Yamauchi

Nobu Yamauchi is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Chief Helicopter Pilot for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since May 2014 and as the Director/Pilot for NY Aviation Services since April 2016, where responsibilities include the development of operations manuals, safety audits, flight instruction, and aircraft ferry services. Prior experience includes roles such as Check Airman and Director of Operations at Guardian Helicopters, Inc., Chief Pilot/Check Airman at Inter-Island Helicopters, and various positions at South Sea Helicopters, Inc. and Pacific Wings Airlines. Nobu has extensive educational training with several aviation institutions, including Helicopter Foundation International and Bell Helicopter Academy, complemented by a foundational education at Hiroshima Saniku High School.
