Alison Edwards, P.Eng. is a seasoned Water Resources Engineer with extensive experience in analyzing and managing water resource projects. Currently employed at Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority since March 2021, Alison previously worked as a Water Resources Engineer at Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority from December 2018 to March 2021, where responsibilities included engineering plan reviews and the development of engineering standards for various assessments. Prior experience at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority involved technical reviews of stormwater management reports, while early roles included design work for municipal projects at G.M. Sernas & Associates. Additionally, Alison contributed to community engagement and physical activity programs as Regional Coordinator at Reebok, successfully influencing elementary school initiatives. Alison holds a BSc. in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Guelph.

Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) is a local watershed management organization incorporated under the Conservation Authorities Act (1946). Since 1951, we have been dedicated to conserving, restoring and managing the Lake Simcoe watershed. We envision a thriving environment that inspires and sustains us for generations to come. We collaborate to protect and restore the Lake Simcoe watershed with innovative research, policy and action. For more than 60 years, we have worked to protect natural resources in the Lake Simcoe watershed, in collaboration with community, municipal, and other government partners. We are members of Conservation Ontario, the umbrella organization for all 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario. We are a proud winner of the International Riverfoundation's (IRF) coveted Thiess International Riverprize (2009) for water management excellence.
