Ellen MacKay

Ellen MacKay is a seasoned professional in innovation development, currently serving as the Director of Innovation Development at Lakehead University since September 2012. As a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP), Ellen focuses on collaborating with faculty to identify, evaluate, and protect intellectual property, as well as creating and negotiating a variety of contracts. Previous roles at Lakehead University include Manager of Innovation Development and Technology Transfer Officer, with experience also as an Executive Assistant to the President during a maternity leave replacement. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education with a focus on literacy through graphic novels, along with a Bachelor of Education and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor.
