Ryan Thomson

Ryan Thomson currently serves as the Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach for the Winnipeg Sea Bears, a role undertaken since February 2023. Additionally, Ryan has been the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Lakehead University since January 2018. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Coach for the Fraser Valley Bandits and the Saint John Riptide, as well as an Assistant Basketball Coach for the Maine Red Claws. Ryan has also worked as a Scout for DraftExpress and gained valuable experience as a Player Development Intern and Graduate Assistant during time at Lakehead University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Lakehead University, where the focus was on Education, History, and Sociology.
