Ricardo Colon

Ricardo Colon is an experienced academic and accounting professional, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Lamar University since June 2012, where Ricardo also held the position of Department Chair from August 2019 to December 2020. Prior to this role, Ricardo Colon was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Puerto Rico from 2008 to May 2012 and served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs during the same period. Earlier in their career, Ricardo Colon worked as a Tax Attorney at ExxonMobil from 2006 to 2008 and held auditing positions at Kevane Grant Thornton and Arthur Andersen. Educational qualifications include an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Houston Law Center, a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, a Master of Accounting from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University New Orleans.
