Alan Milburn

Alan Milburn is a seasoned leader and strategist with extensive experience in public service and higher education. As Chair of The Social Mobility Foundation since 2019, Milburn has been instrumental in promoting social equity. In addition, Milburn has served as Chancellor at Lancaster University since 2015, nurturing educational excellence. Milburn is the Director of AM Strategy Ltd, active since 2007. Previously, Milburn was a Member of Parliament for Darlington from 1992 to 2010 and held the position of Secretary of State for Health from 1999 to 2003, showcasing a robust background in health policy and governance. Alan Milburn is an alumnus of Lancaster University.
