Charles Washburn has extensive experience in engineering and operations. Charles started their career at Dimplex Thermal Solutions in 2010 as a Product Design Engineer before moving on to roles such as Manufacturing Engineer and Operations Manager/Manufacturing Engineer. In these roles, they led teams and projects to improve production efficiency and applied lean six sigma principles. Charles was also involved in strategic planning, continuous improvement, and research and procurement of manufacturing equipment.
In 2017, Washburn joined Landscape Forms as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer before being promoted to Manufacturing Engineering Group Leader and Operations Engineering Group Leader - New Product Development. Charles is currently serving as the Operations Engineering Manager.
Charles Washburn attended Western Michigan University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Engineering Design. Prior to that, they attended Grand Rapids Community College from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Mechanical Design.
In addition to their formal education, Charles Washburn obtained two certifications. In December 2009, they became a Certified SolidWorks Associate through Dassault Systèmes. Then, in April 2016, they achieved a Green Belt - Six Sigma certification from Kalamazoo Valley Groves Center.
