Gianni Malfait has a diverse work experience in various companies. Gianni started their career at Unilin in 2005, where they worked as a Technical Team Leader, responsible for curative and preventive maintenance in the milling and packaging department as well as the sawing department. Gianni also took on the role of a Project Engineer during their time there. In 2011, Malfait joined IVC Group as a Maintenance Manager. Gianni then moved on to Lantmännen Unibake, where they held multiple roles including Technical Manager, Site Manager, Group Operations Excellence Manager, and currently serves as the Operations Director for the Cluster BE-NE-FR-IT-ES. In these roles, Malfait has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on operational excellence, driving improvements within the company.
Gianni Malfait attended HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Master degree in Elektro-mechanics automation. In 2008 to 2009, they attended SBM and specialized in onderhoudsmanagement. In 2016, Gianni briefly attended Waterford Institute of Technology for the Shingo Enterprise Excellence Masterclass. Lastly, from 2018 to 2019, they attended Delta Plus & Tetra Pak academy to earn their 6Sigma Black Belt in Advanced lean tools and Statistics.
