Jack Coggins

Jack Coggins is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in leading data science initiatives across various industries. Currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at Lantum, Jack directs the development of an AI-powered optimization platform for NHS junior doctor rotas, collaborating with product managers and designers. Previously, Jack held the same title at Cogo, where the focus was on scaling data science for carbon footprint tracking software. Jack's journey began at Chiaro, the company behind the Elvie brand, where leadership of a seven-member team culminated in the successful launch of the award-winning Elvie Pump. Early career experience includes a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Canterbury, where Jack led an international research project on Antarctic climate, and a research assistant role contributing to insights for government policy involving ocean wave climate. Jack holds a PhD in Atmospheric Physics and Dynamics from the University of Canterbury and a Master's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Bristol.
