Lapeer Community Schools
Michele McKendry serves as Principal at Lapeer Community Schools since July 2021, leading a Title 1 K-5 building and the district's elementary SEI program while developing professional development initiatives. Prior to this role, Michele accumulated extensive teaching experience at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools from August 2004 to August 2021, instructing grades 1, 3, and 4 in inclusive classrooms and contributing to curriculum piloting and an instructional framework for K-12. Additional experience includes teaching at Spring Branch ISD and a contract position in marketing with Yield PR. Michele holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Oakland University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Central Michigan University.
