Job description

L’Arche Erie seeks a House Manager in the Erie area! As the leader of a home, ideal candidates will be aligned with L’Arche values and have at least two years’ experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. It is preferred that the candidate have at least one year of supervisory experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend to the needs of Core Members and their welfare
  • Follow 6400 regulations to assure Core Members a positive quality of life
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Core Members’ Individual Support Plans and meet programmatic needs of Core Members
  • Prepares and monitors all written required reports in a timely manner with accuracy
  • Coordinates and regularly facilitates team meetings
  • Participates in bi-weekly Home Leader meetings and other programmatic or operational meetings as required
  • Support Core Members with daily living skills, administration of meds, etc.
  • Transportation of Core Members as needed
  • Support L’Arche Erie’s mission and participation in L’Arche formations

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • Clearances (Act 34 and FBI if out of state)
  • Ability to communicate effectively – orally and in writing
  • Ability to relate respectfully to others, to listen attentively and communicate clearly and directly
  • Be able to fulfill a flexible schedule including weekends
  • At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • At least one year of experience supervisory or leadership experience in a group home setting
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and transfer individuals, as needed
