About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you are a key player in helping LASSO reach its goals while you develop an impressive track record for working in a growing, high-performing company. You will report directly to the CTO and will have exposure and input into product strategy and technology decisions.

Your short-term objectives include:

  • Learn the LASSO AWS infrastructure, technology stack, the product life cycle, and the event and entertainment industry within 30 days.
  • Work with the CTO to evaluate and refine key areas of the LASSO production infrastructure and security to help the organization scale over the next 90 days

Your long-term objectives include:

  • Evaluate and improve the performance, scalability, and security of the LASSO production system.
  • Research and provide analysis on new technologies to build, deploy, and monitor new features and existing features.
  • Determines enterprise information assurance and security standards.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code.
  • Manage CI/CD pipeline and release deployments.
  • Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization.
  • Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.
  • Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
  • Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Create and maintain documentation for critical infrastructure and security systems such as Change Control Documentation
  • Complete client IT security documentation in support of implementation activities.
  • Manages relationships with security consultants, security vendors, and infrastructure vendors.

Your qualifications include:

  • 4-year degree in computer science or comparable work experience in software development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and securing cloud-based AWS environments. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code software tool. AWS CloudFormation and Terraform are preferred.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring as a service tools.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in the field of information and infrastructure security.
  • Experience in SOC 2 Type 2 audits is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Significant understanding of security tools and technologies.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, results-oriented team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform and analyze packet captures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills – able to run meetings with project teams and coordinate with technical and non-technical staff.
