Zachariah George is the managing partner at Launch Africa Ventures. Zachariah has over 15 years of experience in the financial services and venture capital industries.
George started their career at Absa Group, where they worked as a program director for the Barclays Tech Lab Africa. Zachariah then moved on to the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, where they served as the managing director for the Lean Iterator program. In 2016, they joined Nedbank as a principal in their venture capital division.
George has also been involved with Harambeans, a social enterprise that provides financial literacy training to young women in Africa, and Startupbootcamp, a global startup accelerator.
Zachariah George has a Master of Science from Stanford University in Management and Finance and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in Mechanical Engineering. Zachariah also has certification from the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa, the Institute of Business Advisers (SA) as a Certified Business Adviser, Mensa International as a Certified Member (CM), FINRA/SIPC in Series 63, and FINRA/SIPC in Series 7.
