Laura Fergusson Auckland was established by Lady Laura Fergusson and Lady Mary Caughey in 1967, to provide accommodation and support to physically disabled people. 
For over 50 years this vision was realised as LFT developed a renowned reputation for quality rehabilitation services from wonderfully skilled staff, with a unique hydrotherapy pool and well equipped gym, support and companionship.
In 2020 it was quietly closed, residents were moved out and the land and buildings sold to an overseas owner. It came as a shock to many.

In November 2023, a new Board was elected, many more members accepted and the Founder's vision is being recreated.

Join us as we work to recreate the vital facility that Laura Fergusson was, a spinal and neuro hub, a one stop shop to better co-ordinate core services and contribute to a sense of community and belonging.
