Jarmo Laukkanen

Jarmo Laukkanen is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chief R&D Officer at Laurea University of Applied Sciences and a Partner at Merkantics Oy, where Jarmo is a co-founder. Prior to these roles, Jarmo held positions at LAB University of Applied Sciences as RDI Manager and Senior Lecturer, and at Infinited Fiber Company as a part-time Finance Manager. Jarmo's expertise extends to academia and startups, with prior experience at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences as Senior Lecturer and Project Manager, and at Clas Ohlson where Jarmo was the Head of Finance and Administration, as well as Country Controller for Germany. With a career beginning at Kesko - K-Group, where Jarmo progressed through various management roles in sales and business development over two decades, Jarmo also has consulting experience from Capgemini Consulting. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from LUT University and a Master of Quality from Teknillinen korkeakoulu.
