Ligia Panaitescu has extensive experience in research and development (R&D) in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. From 1994 to 1999, they worked as a Research Scientist in Transdermal Drug Delivery at Lavipharm. Ligia then joined FAMAR S.A. in 1999 as the Head of New Cosmetic Products Development in the R&D Lab. In 2001, they returned to Lavipharm as an R&D Manager, where they worked until 2015. During this time, they also served as the Supervisor of the Exploratory R&D Department, where they developed innovative drug delivery systems and cosmetics. In 2015, Ligia Panaitescu joined SEPTONA SA as an R&D Manager, a position they held until 2019. In 2019, they returned to Lavipharm as the R&D Director.
Ligia Panaitescu completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Alba Graduate Business School from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Pharmacy, from 1995 to 1997. Ligia also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from "Babes-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Faculty of Pure and Industrial Chemistry, from 1988 to 1993.
