Steven Brill

Steven Brill is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, focusing on developing a novel artificial diffusivity method for simulating high density ratio and immiscible multi-material flows. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, where significant contributions were made in enriching polynomial bases for wall-modeled large-eddy simulations and shock capturing. Previous roles include Research and Technology Intern at Total, conducting research on discontinuous Galerkin methods, and various engineering internships that involved composite material testing and heat transfer research. Steven holds a PhD and MS in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, leadership experience includes serving as President of the Notre Dame Juggling Club.
