Laura Berens

Laura Berens has worked in a variety of roles in the tourism industry since 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Project Assistant for the Municipality of Hellinikon-Argyroupoli in Athens, Greece. In 2013, they completed a research trip to Athens, Greece for their bachelor thesis, and also completed an internship with Stein & Schulz - regional planning & community involvement as a Moderator, communication planner and project manager. In 2014, they worked as a Sustainable tourism development intern at ZALA Park. In 2015, they were the Sales & Marketing Manager at Kwanini Africa. In 2016, they were the Sales Manager at Beatushöhlen-Genossenschaft, and also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Dalarna University. In 2017, they became a Product Manager at Fineway. Finally, in 2020, they were a Team Lead Travel Product and Travel Product Manager at Laya Technologies.

Laura Berens completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Tourism Destination Development Program at Dalarna University from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Geography from Goethe University from 2010 to 2013. Laura also attended Technische Universität Darmstadt for Urban Development, but did not receive a degree.
