Saba Zuberi

Saba Zuberi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they collaborated on the development of a Monte Carlo event generator and analyzed data from simulations. During their time there, they also co-created a package in C++ for describing high-energy proton beams.

After that, they joined Insight Data Science as a Fellow, where they built a Python-based web application and utilized the Kiva API to collect and visualize data for crowd-sourced microfinance loans. They also stored the data in MySQL.

Saba then transitioned to TaskRabbit as a Senior Data Scientist, where they worked from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, Saba joined TD as a Data Scientist II and later became a Data Scientist III. Their responsibilities at TD ended in August 2018.

Currently, Saba is working at Layer 6 AI as a Machine Learning Scientist, starting in August 2018. They have recently taken on the role of Senior Machine Learning Scientist in June 2021.

Saba Zuberi earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics from the University of Rochester, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Saba then pursued further education at the University of Toronto, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Elementary Particle Physics from 2004 to 2010.
