Andrew Valencia

Andrew Valencia, PE, serves as the Sr. Vice President of Generation at LCRA since August 2010, overseeing the fossil generation fleet's operations, maintenance, and engineering for a team of approximately 330 employees. Valencia's career includes progressive leadership roles such as Vice President of Generation Reliability and Manager of Power and Gas Operations at LCRA, along with experience as Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager at Luminant and TXU. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University and a management certification from The University of Texas at Dallas, Valencia brings extensive expertise in power generation, maintenance, and operational management within the energy sector.
