Joyce Chen, CRSP, BSc, is a seasoned health and safety professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Health and Safety Coordinator for Leduc County since July 2022, Joyce focuses on developing and implementing health and safety elements within the health and safety management system (HSMS), managing WCB claims, and conducting incident investigations. Previously, as a Health and Safety Advisor for the City of Spruce Grove from August 2014 to July 2022, Joyce was instrumental in maintaining and implementing the OH&S program, ensuring compliance with regulations, and reducing workplace injuries through collaboration with management. Earlier experience includes roles at the University of Alberta, AGAT Laboratories, and Fluid Life where Joyce developed safety policies, provided safety advice, and coordinated safety measures. Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Alberta and a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from NAIT.
