Wayne Leon

Wayne Leon is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Distance Learning and Transfer Programs at Lees-McRae College since October 2020. Previously, Wayne held the position of Director of Admissions at Year Up and worked as an Educational Consultant while self-employed. Wayne's extensive background includes serving as the Director of Recruitment and Marketing at the University of New Haven, where responsibilities included managing a team of ten, overseeing budget planning, and implementing marketing strategies. Additional experience includes working as the Associate Director of Advising & Recruitment at Oglethorpe University, focusing on recruitment and academic advisement for the Evening Degree Program. Wayne holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Fine/Studio Arts from Sacred Heart University.
