Brenda Maldonado, LCSW, has extensive experience in the field of social work and psychotherapy. Currently serving as an LCSW-Immigration at Legal Services NYC since February 2019, Brenda also maintains a private practice as a bilingual psychotherapist since 2018. Previous roles include bilingual psychotherapist positions at the Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy and Puerto Rican Family Institute, along with program supervision responsibilities. With a foundational career starting from social worker positions at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital and American Red Cross Family Shelter, Brenda has developed a strong background in clinical social work. Brenda's education includes a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, a post-graduate certificate from Hunter College, as well as an MSW from Fordham University and a BSW from The College of New Rochelle.
